We use a mixture of methods, which we have found to work successfully with rescued Border Collies. A good number of these dogs have had a terrible time, and we rehabilitate them and put them in new forever homes.

Because these dogs have often been mistreated, we used kind, positive reinforcement methods so that the dog can learn to trust again.

These are the methods we use to help people when they have a 'problem' with their dog.		    

Be prepared to do some hard work yourself, because often part of the problem can be the owner. If you don't understand the body language and the subtle signals your dog is giving to you, you can be unwittingly reinforcing their bad behaviour!

If we train the dog to behave for us, there is no guarantee that your dog will do it for you! You will need to make the changes in your home. We will explain our methods to you so that you can understand what we're doing and what is expected of you.

We don't just teach the dog how to behave, we also tell you what you need to be doing to overcome these problems. We are not interested in coming back to your home time and again for repeat consultation fees, we'd just like to help you help your dog.

Above all, we WILL be honest, so be prepared. If we notice that you're doing something wrong, we will tell you so. We will explain WHY it is the wrong thing to do - you may find you will be getting more training than your dog!
