We Live At Wiccaweys Too! Meet our other Canine family members

Jake - German Spitz Mittle Jake came home with me in 1996, aged eight weeks. He was the fluffest, whitest, bundle of fluff I had ever seen. As Jake started to grow-up I noticed he was hyperactive and generally over the top, more than you would normally expect with a young dog. We started to go to ring craft, as I had set my heart on entering the show ring. It was a disaster, Jake was petrified of the table, he was stressed out walking around with the other dogs, it was like having a small furry whirlwind on the end of a lead.

The final straw came when his little heart was racing so much that I thought he would have a heart attack. That was that - I wasn't prepared to put him through anymore, and our brief soriree into the show world ended. That was until I changed Jake's food (I will be adding nutrition pages to the site soon) after I had changed his food Jake was much better, and at his first real show - Eastwood, August 1997, he made my day by wining BOB! These days Jake has retired from the showring, and much prefers to concentrate on his agility and boss the collies about.

Percy Percy is the naughtiest little Chi in the world! He joined our family in April 07. He, his siblings and his mum came into rescue. He was only a few weeks old at the time. Percy is a terror! Full of fun and mischief! He loves causing chaos!

Kes - Japanese Chin Kes is a Japanese Chin. He is 7 years old, and he joined the Wiccaweys family after his previous family had to return the work full time. Kes is a real character, and a true clown. He loves making people laugh! He is also a terrible thief and is incredible greedy for a small dog. Nothing edible is safe from his clutches! Kes is a true gentleman with people and he adores children. Here is Kes in one of his favourite postitions, on the back of the sofa. Normally he has his head hanging out of the window so he can shout abuse at the chickens outside!

Merlin - Lurcher Merlin is a 3 year old Lurcher who was homed by us as a puppy. Sadly when he was 2yrs old he was returned to Wiccaweys through no fault of his own. No new home came forward for him, and we decided that when we moved, he was settled and part of our family that he would stay with us. Merlin is a character. He shares his space with several dogs, including oldies, smallies and furries. He is a bit of a snob, and a terrible fuss pot - especially when his favourite Wiccaweys volunteer, Alexa, visits - he is like a lovesick teenager and goes all gooey!
